About The Idiot

You’ve found the site of The Adsense Idiot, I’m a pretty regular guy who decided one day a few years ago to quit working at a regular job and try making my own money.  I wanted to be able to go out every night and party like it was 1999, sleep in all day and make millions only working a few hours work a day.  So I quit my high paying job but like an Idiot I started laying around watching TV all day, going out with friends until the early hours (and sleeping in the next day), I did practically nothing to make any money…. only spend it

Eventually I remembered I was supposed to be trying to make money as well as spend it, so seeing as how I’m a bit of a techie I scoured the internet for ideas and ways to make those elusive dollars.  I found lots of stuff from so called gurus all trying to sell me the quick and easy solution to vast riches.  Most of them were/are crap.  So now I’m trying to prove that I can actually make money online, its a lot harder than I thought, so to help you avoid the same mistakes I’m bound to make, I’m going to try and document the things I do.  My successes (too few at the moment), my failures (too many) and everything inbetween. 

I hope you’ll keep coming back because chances are that you will learn something even if its how not to do it.

Jan 2008 Update:  I wrote the above intro sometime in early November 2007, it’s now Jan 3rd, 2008 and although I achieved very little in 2007 I’m excited about what lays ahead.  I’m starting this year with a renewed sense of purpose and I know that if I really work at this blog I can make it a success.
